How long does a CoolWallet S battery last? Is it rechargeable?
The CoolWallet S is rechargeable and it takes about 4 – 6 hours for a full charge. The standby time is around 2-3 months. However, we recommend you charge the wallet periodically (at least once a month) to ensure maximum battery performance.
Which blockchains does CoolWallet S support?
CoolWallet S currently supports 14 main chains, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Binance Chain, Litecoin, XRP, Flare, Bitcoin Cash, Horizen, Icon, Stellar, Kinesis Gold, Kinesis Silver, and Songbird. In addition to official tokens, CoolWallet S also supports over 10,000 custom tokens on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain.
What is the difference between CoolWallet S and CoolWallet Pro?
CoolWallet S and CoolWallet Pro both ensure the security of storing and trading crypto, and also support features such as crypto purchase and crypto exchange.CoolWallet S is the standard version while CoolWallet Pro is the advanced version, with differences in the number of supported blockchains and coins/tokens. CoolWallet Pro also supports staking features and has higher compatibility with DApps and NFTs. Additionally, the hardware security design differs with CoolWallet Pro using industry-leading CC EAL6+ certified secure elements, while CoolWallet S uses CC EAL5+ certified secure elements.
If I accidentally lose my CoolWallet S, will I also lose my crypto assets?
No. CoolWallet S only allows pairing with authorized mobile devices. Therefore, if your CoolWallet S is lost or stolen, an unauthorized device cannot be paired with it, and cannot access your crypto assets. The person who obtains your CoolWallet S will be asked to enter the pairing password, and if they fail five times, the system will be locked. In addition, CoolWallet S needs to be within 10 meters of the authorized mobile device to function, so there is no risk when the authorized mobile device and CoolWallet S are not together. Malicious actors also cannot easily disassemble CoolWallet S to steal your private key stored in CC EAL 5+ security components, so your crypto assets are very secure.Most importantly, your crypto assets are recorded on the blockchain, so you won’t lose them just because you lose your CoolWallet S. As long as you keep the recovery seed safe (handwritten and stored in a secure location), you can use it to recover your crypto wallet. Losing your CoolWallet S doesn’t mean losing your crypto assets.
